iOS · Coming soon

There is no iOS version yet, so there is nothing to download for iPhone or iPad.

After installing

Your first start

There is just one app to install. Everything else happens inside it, the first time you open it.

  1. Choose how to download the game

SyphonGo brings no game data of its own. On the first start, its download screen (“Your adventure starts here!”) asks how you want to get it:

    • Download as you go

      about 455 MB

Download maps and assets as you explore.

Both choices are inside the same app: there is only one APK. The sizes are what the app shows today and change as the game grows. Before it starts, the app checks your free storage and tells you when there is too little; the full client also wants about 500 MB to spare. Best on Wi-Fi. You can close the game and continue the download later.

  2. The latest patches follow

Then SyphonGo installs the latest game patches by itself, the same ones the PC client gets: about 1.6 GB today. With Download as you go, the largest of them stream in as you play. When everything is in place, the app restarts by itself and the game begins.

  3. Updates on every start

Every time you open SyphonGo, it checks for a new version of the app and for new patches. When a new version is out, an update screen shows what changed: tap Update, then confirm when Android asks to install it. Updating keeps the game data you already downloaded. New patches install as on the first start, before the game opens.

Installing an APK

SyphonGo is not on Google Play: it comes as an APK file, which Android installs in a few taps.

  1. Download the APK on your phone, with the Android button on this page.
  2. Open the file when the download finishes, or later from your browser’s downloads or a file manager.
  3. Allow the install if Android asks: tap Settings, turn on installing unknown apps for your browser or file manager (often called “Allow from this source”), then go back.
  4. Tap Install, then Open.

Your browser, Android or Google Play Protect may warn you about an app from outside the Play Store; that happens with any APK. Only install SyphonGo from the link on this website. You do all this once: later versions arrive through the app’s own update screen, and the first of them asks you once more to allow installing apps, this time for SyphonGo itself.
