What was added, improved and fixed in each release of SyphonGo.

Latest release

Version 1.0.1

Game patches and a new look

The game patches now arrive in the app, and its screens have a new look and turn with your phone. The first start after this update downloads the patches (about 1.6 GB), so Wi-Fi is recommended.

Added

  • Automatic game patches

The app installs the latest game patches by itself: the same patches as the PC client, including the new UI.

Improved

  • A new Gemstone look

The start and update screens now share the Gemstone look of the download screens.

  • Screens turn with your phone

The start, update and download screens follow the way you hold your phone; only the game itself is landscape.

Fixed

  • No more long freezes

When a server stops answering during “Download as you go”, the game carries on and tries again later.

Version 1.0.0

The first release

The new Gemstone client for Android, with its own download screens and automatic updates.

Added

  • New download screens

On the first start, choose the full client or “Download as you go”, then follow the download on the progress screen.

  • Automatic app updates

The app looks for a new version every time it starts, shows what’s new and installs it once you confirm.

  • Poring app icon

A new app icon with the Poring artwork, plus a themed version for phones set to themed icons.

  • Warnings before a big download

The download screen warns you on mobile data, and when your phone lacks the storage for the full client.

Improved

  • Latest game data

The app brings newer game data than the download server has: skill names and icons, the newest jobs and the art of the New UI.

  • English map names

The name plate under the minimap shows the map’s English name.

Fixed

  • Working HUD icons and menu

The HUD buttons show their icons, the menu opens your status window, and the PC shortcut bar no longer covers your HP and SP.

  • No crash on a missing sprite

A character whose sprite is missing from the game data no longer crashes the game.
